Another Octave Spring Concert in HamdenAnother Octave Celebrates with 20!
Another Octave: Connecticut Women’s Chorus, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a look back at some favorite music from the past twenty years.
Take 40 women who love to sing, add a committed artistic staff, throw in some story-telling, a few props, a bit of theater, and a big dose of musical excellence — and you have Another Octave: Connecticut Women’s Chorus. Since its first appearance in 1990, Another Octave has been engaging audiences around Connecticut, and out-of-state, with energetic performances and an eclectic repertoire that includes standard concert pieces as well as traditional and contemporary music reflecting women’s lives. In 20!, we’ll revisit a wide range of favorites. From sultry jazz to upbeat pop tunes, from freedom anthems to the best of Broadway — 20! will have something for everyone.
At both concerts we will be raffling off a variety of wonderful gift baskets including something for the kids, spa packages, wine, and restaurant gift cards. Tickets are: 1 for $5, 5 for $10, and 15 for $20.

This is our 4th annual pet rescue event for 9 local rescue groups. Our fund raiser is a tea cup auction with lots of great items from local businesses. We also have games/contests, paw print and face painting, pet photography, search and rescue demos, food, pet related vendors and much more. This is a free, fun outdoor event for the whole family.
